Growing Toward Spiritual Maturity (ETA)
A strategy for growing towards Christlikeness based on the actual ways people develop is the primary focus of this course.  Through identifying and understanding how we grow spiritually, we become more intentional in adhering to the spiritual disciplines.

Understanding People (ETA)
As believers we are mandated to fulfill “The Great Commission”.  This course will help you to understand people in all stages of human development, from infancy to senior citizens, so you can more fully and more powerfully minister to them in each of the four domains (physical, cognitive, socio emotional and spiritual).

Old Testament Survey I (ETA)
This course provides a sweeping overview of God’s working from creation through the early days of His chosen people.  Topics included in books from Genesis to Esther include Israel’s trek to the Promised Land, David’s reign, Solomon’s kingdom, the kingdom of Judah, etc.

Old Testament Survey II (ETA)
The survey continues with the books Job to Malachi which gives further insights into God’s dealing with His people.  The survey’s presentations with a chronological sequence of events as well as historic and contextual information are easier to grasp.

Developing Intimacy with God
(Fasting and Praying)
Developing and maintaining an intimate relationship with God is essential for every purpose driven believer.  This course will equip and encourage the believer to develop such habits as those which will ensure intimacy with God.

Book of Acts
Discover the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of a true Christian.  In the Gospel of Luke Jesus tells the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the power of the Holy Spirit.  In the Gospel of John Jesus describes how the Holy Spirit empowers the believer.  In the Acts of the Apostles the full manifestation of this power is realized.  Learn how you can exercise this power in your life to the glory of God and the exaltation of Jesus Christ.

You and Your Bible (ETA)
Believers should be well informed about the Word of God.  This course presents the inspiration and authorship of the Bible, how it was preserved, why we believe it, how we deal with its problems and critics, the role of archeology, and ways to study the Bible more effectively.

New Testament Survey (ETA)
This course brings unity and chronological sequence to New Testament study by weaving the contents of the books around a central theme – the person of Christ.  Included in this major division of the Bible are the synoptic Gospels, the Gospel of John, the Book of Acts, the Pauline Epistles in chronological order, the General Epistles, and the book of Revelation.

Biblical Beliefs (ETA)
Presentation of foundational Bible doctrines in a popular, easy-to-understand format is the nature of this course.  Covered in the course are creation and the fall of man, faith and regeneration, justification and adoption, prayer and worship, angels, satan, resurrection and judgment, and the church.

Teaching Techniques (ETA)
This course focuses on how to communicate and apply God’s Word to life situations through the use of various methodologies.  Class projects will also be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of various teaching techniques, especially suited for a 21 century setting.

This book of Romans will take us through the life of the writer, recipients of this letter, the occasion and purpose for the writing of the Book of Romans.  This book also offers the most systematic teaching in the Bible about human dilemma and God’s solution for it as well as the major themes of sin, salvation, redemption, justification, grace and reconciliation.

The Making of a Leader
This course is designed to identify and uncover the key elements of leadership that made great men and women of the Bible effective in carrying out God’s agenda for their lives.  Throughout the course we will be dissecting major characters of the Bible while discovering the challenges and circumstances that made them rise to greatness.  Likewise we will uncover the pitfalls and failures of these same individuals.  You will walk away from the course with a greater under-standing of your own leadership style, insight on areas of desired development in your own approach to leadership, and an enhanced appreciation on what it takes to lead God’s people.

The Triune God (ETA)
This course covers the biblical teaching of the Trinity and the individuality of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Topics include the character and work of God; the preexistence, incarnation, deity, death, resurrection, and return of Christ; the personality and power of the Holy Spirit.

Understanding Music and Worship in the Local Church (ETA)
Designed with the lay person in mind, this course focuses on the important relationship of these two elements in the life of the church.  It provides a historical overview of music and worship, biblical foundations, and practical instruction on how to better assess both within the local church.

Your Ministry of Evangelism (ETA)
If the local church is to continue to grow in the 21st century, evangelism must be the first concern of every church ministry and individual Christian according to Jesus’ last mandate to “make disciples”.  This course provides complete instructions for helping the “persons in the pew” to understand their role in local church evangelism ministry and to be effective in leading others to Christ.

Beyond Reasonable Doubt (ETA)
Aside from personal faith in God, is there any evidence to substantiate the claims of Christianity?  What about Jesus Christ – was He more than just a man?  And the Bible – is it more than just an interesting piece of literature?  You be the judge!  This course, centered in an introduction to the study of apologetics, will take you step-by-step through the well-documented evidence.  Whether a skeptic or a believer, it will help you reach a verdict-one that could very well change your life.

Christian Character (ETA)
True Christian character is not something that comes automatically in the life of a believer upon acceptance of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  While the potential is there, it must be developed, nurtured, and maintained if the believer is to lead a God-pleasing life.  This course is designed to provide you with the tools needed to help you reach your ultimate goal – to become more like Jesus.

Qualities of Great Leaders of the Bible
Over a semester’s time we will journey through the Bible utilizing a thematic approach of study on leadership qualities across the Old and New Testaments.  This method of study will allow us to compare and contrast leadership styles of Biblical heroes and heroines and their foes.  While stepping across history to profile the Bible’s many leaders, we will categorize effective and ineffective leadership methods.  Overall this course is designed to be an enriching study of leadership primarily with the Bible as our guide on techniques and methodology.  By the end of this course you will walk away with a vast understanding of various types of leadership styles and knowledge of when to apply different methods of leadership for greater effectiveness.

Effectively Leading: 
A Guide for All Church Leaders (ETA)
Should church leadersstrive to be efficient or effective?  Being efficient means doing things rights, while being effective means doing the right things.  Though you, as a church leader, should be efficient in your ministry, the greater priority must be on becoming effective in that ministry.  This course will help you, as a leader, become more effective in accomplishing your ministry or church’s goal.

Perspectives from Church History (ETA)
Written as a basic introduction to the subject, this course covers the four major periods from the Day of Pentecost to the present:  the Ancient Church, Medieval Church, Reformation Church and Modern Church.  This course will also provide Christians with an overview of their spiritual heritage.  There is much to be gained from studying the past.

Christian Ethics (ETA)
There is a differencebetween “ethics” and “morals”.  Ethics do not change.  Morals reflect the changing whims of the culture.  For the Christian, ethics must be rooted in the absolutes revealed in God’s Word.  Critical ethical questions on abortion, euthanasia, bioethics, human sexuality, politics, war, capital punishment, race, the arts, and the environment will be examined from a biblical viewpoint in this course.

Truth About World Views (ETA)
In a world where multi “truths” abound, Christians need to be on their guard to avoid being deceived by other ways of looking at the world that directly oppose Christ and His Word.  This course analyzes the main world religions, cults, and philosophical systems in an effort to determine how they differ from Christianity.  A well informed Christian is a stable Christian.

Biblical Principles for Effective Team Ministry
Many leaders in the church today do not appreciate the truth and importance of team ministry.  In team ministry, two or more leaders work together to accomplish spiritual tasks.  This course explores this concept and gives evidence that team ministry is a scriptural pattern.  The principles and practice of team ministry as well as the people factor in team development when embraced will greatly enhance our 21 century pulpits.

Teaching Adults, Youth & Children with Confidence
Teaching is a universal phenomenon, however, while teaching in a Christian education setting is common it can sometimes fall short of its intended purpose to impact the life of the learner.  This course presents various techniques that can be used in teaching adults, youth and children with the confidence needed to achieve the ultimate goal.
