In addition to our Children's Ministry, we have a Youth Ministry that is specifically geared for young men & young ladies ages 13 through 21. Our team is dedicated to creating a youth program that will capture young people, lead them to Christ, and make a difference in their lives.
Our Youth Ministry has "Youth Day" every 5th Sunday and the entire youth department comes together to minister to the congregation in song, spoken word, dance, and preaching. This day gives our youth the opportunity to Worship God during the service by being involved in all capacities.
The Young Women of Excellence
Our Mission is to encourage young ladies between the ages of 13 & 21 to live life to its fullest by having good morals, social graces, preparatory college skills, budgeting principles, and the ability to make good career choices.
Our Goals:
~ To provide instructional sessions that will enrich spiritual growth and development.
~ To teach the organizational structure of the International Youth Department and the functions of its auxiliaries.
~ To provide steps for soul-winning with scripture references.
~ To teach social graces to the young women of the Church of God In Christ.
~ To equip young ladies with skills necessary to prepare them for college.
~ To prepare young ladies for the world of corporate America.
~ To provide tips to enrich the personal well being of each Young Woman of Excellence such as physical makeover, self-esteem classes, etc.
~ To teach appropriate conduct for various situations.
To increase each young woman's level of awareness about stewardship, professionalism, and etiquette.
~ To develop a Spirit of Excellence about all things at all times.
The Young Men of Valor
Our mission is to encourage the growth of young men between the ages of 13 & 21 in the areas of self-discipline, self-assurance, leadership, and most of all, Love for God.
We aim to ensure that each young man will have the tools to act responsibly in his family, church, schools, and community.
Our Goals:
~ To expose our young leaders to successful Christian men in the academic, corporate, social, and political, and religious fields.
~ To provide a forum that will enhance their self-esteem and establish a support system through open communication, knowledge, and brotherhood.
~ To enrich the personal well-being of young men by understand the meaning of a true relationship with God and discovering his purpose for their lives.
~ To equip young men with a biblical foundation and practical methods of dealing with peer and family pressures.
~ To plant seeds that will initiate the enhancement of their leadership abilities.
~ To develop networks and utilize resources within and outside the Church of God in Christ environment, where Young Men of Valor will be able to excel in their areas of interest.
~ To prepare our Christian Young Men of Valor to take the new millennium for Christ!
